Classic and Flavorful Vartabit
Ingredients:
1 cup tahini
1 clove of garlic
⅓ cup lemon juice
1 teaspoon of salt
6 slices of stale sourdough bread
1 ½ cups of cooked beans soaked in olive oil overnight
1 bunch of parsley, finely chopped
Directions:
1. Toast the bread.
2. Mix the tahini, garlic, lemon and salt. Beat with a fork. Add water until the mixture reaches the consistency of mayonnaise.
3. Arrange the toasted bread on a serving plate and spread tahini sauce over each slice.
4. Spoon beans over toast and garnish with parsley.
